Sham 69 schrieb grandiose Hits wie „Hey little rich boy“, „Hersham Boys“ oder eben „If the kids are united“

Formed in Sheffield in 2005 with the intention of recreating the authentic flavour of the seminal punk bands of the late 70’s, three old friends, Mr Keef & Chris (The Grind/Rocket Scientists) and Muzz (Artery/Death Trash) teamed up with drummer Mike.
Countrywide gigs soon followed with the ‘Aural Graffiti’ & ‘Wish You Were Here?’ EP’s released on The Fuckwits own label in 2005 & 2006.
Late 2007 saw Muzz leave the band to concentrate on the newly reformed Artery, Adam joined on bass soon afterwards.
The Fuckwits spent most of 2008/9 writing & recording new material along with playing some local high profile shows
Joining Punker Pages records in late 2009 the final mixes were handed over in summer 2010 & The Fuckwits debut album was subsequently released in April 2011, a string of live dates soon followed.
Bassist Adam left the band in September 2011, fortunately an old friend, Jez (Adulescents UK/Bank Holiday Jez) was more than happy to join the lads on bass & complete the line up in October 2011.
2012 saw the band appearing live at venues across the UK, touring with Duncan Reid, TV Smith, Sham 69 & 999, alongside slots at Rebellion Festival and Nice & Sleazy Festival.
2013 saw the band writing new material for their second album & continuing to tour with bands such as The Members & 999 as well as a tour of Ireland in the spring.
2014 - The Fuckwits signed to Headcheck Records and released their second album 'iDEOLOGY' to coincide with their second appearance at Rebellion Festival. The band finished off a busy year with shows supporting The Boys, 999, Vice Squad and XSLF
2015 - The band start the year with headline tour of Norway followed by a small UK tour with Norwegian punk rockers Sugar Louise. A hometown show with the UK Subs followed in April. More UK shows/festivals are confirmed for later in the year. Plans are also being made for a return to Norway in December.
We have played with the likes of : Stiff Little Fingers, Sham 69, UK Subs, English Dogs, The Slits, The Rezillos, Peter & The Test Tube Babies, Vice Squad, The Buzzcocks, The Damned, The Vibrators, The Lurkers, 999, Ed Tudor-Pole, The Beat, The Selecter, Bad Manners, The Boys, The Members, Neville Staple, Angelic Upstarts, Pennywise amongst others, throughout the UK.
