Die RED DONS sind die Nachfolgeband der genialen OBSERVERS, die mit ihrer LP SYMBOLS, SLOGANS, LIES (VINYL WARNING / YELLOW DOG) furiose Reviews in der nordamerikanischen Punkpresse einfahren konnten. Nach dem überraschenden Split formierte Sänger, Gitarrist und Songschreiber Doug Burns die RED DONS, um dort anzuknüpfen wo die OBSERVERS aufgehört haben. In der Tradition von Bands wie den WIPERS und den ADVERTS wird melodischer Punkrock gespielt, der jedoch dank eines düsteren Twists niemals cheesy klingt.
